Tracy McEwan ist Mitglied des Centre for the Study of Violence an der Universität von Newcastle, Australien und Honorary Fellow an der Australian Catholic University.
Sie ist Mitautorin des International Survey of Catholic Women, einer Umfrage unter mehr als 17.000 katholischen Frauen aus 104 Ländern, und Mitglied des Forschungsteams Deutschland-Australien. Ihre Monographie „Women and the Catholic Church: Negotiating Identity and Agency“ ist bei Bloomsbury Open Collections erschienen. Sie ist Mitbegründerin des Podcasts Australian Women Preach.
Arbeitsschwerpunkte: Frauen im Katholizismus; geschlechtsspezifische Gewalt; Kirchenbeteiligung, Generationen und Lebensphasen; quantitative und qualitative Forschungsmethoden.
Aktuelle Forschungsprojekte:
- Untersuchung des sexuellen Missbrauchs von katholischen Ordensfrauen in Deutschland und Australien: Gefördert durch das deutsch-australische Kooperationsprogramm (2024-2026).
